The QMAP project completed the last of 21 new 1:250 000 geological maps in 2012. The maps cover all of New Zealand and their accompanying texts describe each area’s geomorphology, stratigraphy, tectonic history, geological resources, geological hazards and engineering geology in general terms.This dataset is a subset of into a seamless national geological databasethat is accessible to the New Zealand public in vector and raster formats, and will be maintained and updated as a Nationally Significant Database. |
