Service Description: The NRRP was developed over several years with significant input from people in Canterbury and represents a huge milestone. The policies in the plan will need to be updated, however, to reflect the community-driven priorities being developed by zone committees under the Canterbury Water Management Strategy. This will happen through the Proposed Land and Water Regional Plan, which will build on, improve, and in some instances replace, Chapters 4 to 8 of the NRRP. This new plan will also embed the provisions of the Chapter 2 in the NRRP.
